RUBELLITE
Rubellite is the intensely red variant of tourmaline. This is a very rare gemstone, especially when they are of high clarity. The name is derived from the Latin word "rubellus," which means reddish. The color is caused by the presence of manganese and iron. One advantage of this stone is that, unlike ruby, it does not have orange or brown tones.
Tourmalines are to be worn with caution for scratches, impacts and heat.
