MANDARIN GARNET
Mandarin garnet is one of the most fiery orange colored gemstones. Its clarity and color are distinctive in the garnet family. This gem derives its intense color from traces of manganese in its crystal structure. Orange garnets have been used in jewelry for over 5000 years, but recent top-quality findings in Namibia and Nigeria have brought these orange gemstones to fame. Garnet is suited for daily wear, but are prone to scratches.
